ext2 ifs linux driver for windows.

2008 // NOV // 8TH. ------------------------------ I had a buggy usb hard drive formatted for windows fat32/windows and ( used linux vfat for mounting). The old usb hardrive sucked and crashed alot when using linux, but worked ok when using a windowsxp computer. Yesterday night 2008/nov/7TH i reformatted the usb-drive to ext2/linux. This made the drive much more stable so far. dmesg.

For linux . dmesg would always gave me messages that my vfat usb-harddrive was timing out and crahing on me. but after reformatting the usb-hardrive to ext2 the drive stoped timing out and crashing. Now the drive works great on my linux computer but now i have to make it work on my windowsxp computer.

for windows . I downloaded the ext2ifs kernel driver and installed it on my windows/xp computer. so far every thing works ok on both computers. my linux computer works good naturaly with the ext2 file system on the usb-hradrive.and the windows/xp computer is working good to.

I should of done this a year ago when i bought the usb-harddrive encloser but i was worried that their would be unknown complications but so far i can't think of any. Complications i have a read only setting from windows, only linux can write to the drive. don't select the read only install option when installing if you want to write to the drive. (OPERA9.52 web browser followup )
I'm still using Opera9.52 and i/m finaly going to delete my older versions of opera after i ~bak them up to cdr.
(PRO) web surfing with plugins and javascript turned off opera works great.
(CONS) Turn plugins on and java script and flash sites still hate opera. flash10 buggy / flash9 buggy / flash seven stable but out dated.
FLV still sucks. flv will never be as good as DivX and Xvid in my opinion. flash players are allways to slow and buggy for me to enjoy completely. give me a download link for a divx or /Xvid file and i'm much more happy.
FLV web players usu up to much of my cpu compared to divx and Xvid videos. LETS do things the hard way and do every thing in flash.
I hate embeded media. Download link please. Give me better quality videos please :) I gave up on embeded video sites a long time ago.

Opera9.52 aug-2008 up and running.

(opera9.52 linux) test post. hello world. 1/ spell checK works OK - more or less. 2/ posting to blog working OK. 3/ you-tube dot com worked OK. * 4/ ( cached pages still sucks) at wardcraft.bloGspot.com cached pages make reposting edits fubar. cached pages still cuase blunders FOR rediting , respellchecking and reposting. all still still sucks. * I have to double check everthing. everthing looks OK so-far but i can't tell the difference between this one and the last two opera9.50 and opera9.51 all feel the same # could it be a windows thing and not realy a linux update thing.

I still can't get opera to play nice with my blog postings and spell check. ( test post) ( opera9.5.1 / linux version ) 1/ I turned the cache down to 4MB and turned off auto cache . I don't know if that will fix any thing but hopefully it will.

Opera 9.5 still sucks.

Opera does a crap job editing old bloGspots post. ( blog editing is sloppy) The cache pages keeps re-posting misspelled words. Blogspot and Opera browser 9.5 do not work well together because of cached pages. (work around ). delete the cache because the F5 key is not working correct . the old opera did not have a problem with this. I could post and re-edit with out cached pages screwing up. ~ I need to do a check of ( opera:config ) setting to see if there's a fix in the config setting some were.

opera:config

~/.qt/qtrc is were qtconfig saves settings for qt aps. but aps like opera ignores most of the font setting which left me with small fonts on the opera web-browser menu and bookmarks. ~ but there's a work around. 1).open opera. 2). Type opera:config into opera's url bar. 3).then change the font size for menu. 4).save and restart opera. All done. Now opera is usable again for me. I don't like small fonts. Now i can use my 1024x768 desktop settings and I don't have to switch back to 800x600 just to see big fonts.

my work out becuase week one was to easy.
The workout program doesn't look like it gets very tough until week5 and week6.

The push plan makes a good warm up for a good regular free weight routine.
The bech press is still my favorite.
other than that i just like to sit on mu butt all day.

Google reader ( is slow )

slow poke . Well i gave google reader a try on my blog and google reader was real slow.
Compared to my desktop ap lifeRea google reader is extra slow.

( LifeRee is fast)

google reader just is not as good as a real desktop application
MAIL :
The only googly type web application that work good enough to replace my desktop programs are web email applications . Some webmail applications , gmail and yahoo have good webmail usability that i like better then my desktop applications. Web mail is easy to set up and use. you don't have to unblock any ports on your firewall to use web email.

Google reader with combined with the Opera web browser = slow.
I haven't tested google reader with old stable firefox2 yet. I can't even get firefox3 to work with my linux distro So I think i will keep using a desktop programs for my RSS feeds. Desktop apllication smoke web based rss reader.
